About CHP

Based in Essex's county town of Chelmsford, CHP is a not-for-profit housing association. We are one of approximately 2,000 housing associations in the UK who exist to provide affordable housing to rent and buy. Established in March 2002, we have a growing portfolio of affordable homes in Essex and take most of our nominations from local councils.

We work closely with residents and various statutory and charitable agencies to constantly improve the services we provide. These include tackling antisocial behaviour and improving quality of life, providing flexible care and support for the elderly, and an extensive programme of improvements and modernisations.

CHP has two main aims - to provide excellent services and to own and manage at least 10,000 properties. For more information about CHP's corporate aims see the most recent Annual Report (pdf).
