You said - we did

We welcome our residents' comments and feedback and offer a range of ways to influence our decisions and services. The table below shows examples of the changes we have made, in the last year, thanks to our residents feedback.

For a list of the opportunities available please see our Resident involvement opportunities [pdf].

You said - we did

You said that you would like changes made to new housing schemes We have made changes to the designs of the proposed new housing schemes at Olletts by redesigning the parking arrangements.  At Mashbury Road we moved the units so that they did not block the light from neighbouring bungalows.
You stated that the carpets in some flats were looking dirty. We reported this to our contractors and subsequently these carpets have been cleaned.
You said that non-CHP residents were dumping rubbish in bin stores. We fitted locks and now only residents have access.
You asked for the rear garden area of your block of flats to be fenced off. We are currently in the process of having this work carried out and will be finished within two months.
You said that Wickes vouchers issued to residents resulted in losses on redeeming them as change was not given. We introduced the Homebase card where the value on the card may be spent across Homebase stores in the UK , in whole or part payment, providing a better service to our residents.
You said that when residents let properties on New build developments, obtaining satellite TV was difficult. We can agree with planners if we can give permission for satellite dishes six weeks before handover of a new build property so permission letters can be handed out at sign-up.
You said that there were concerns with the Mutual Exchange process. We now include a stock condition survey which will ensure that residents moving as a result of Mutual Exchange will be moving into a property that meets decent home standards.
You wanted the way we consulted with residents changed on specific  issues. We have tidied up and slimmed down the number of surveys we send to residents.  We now have the annual STAR survey and only three other regular surveys for specific services/areas.
You wanted the way we present performance information changed in the annual report. We have changed the format of how we present the data – there are no statistics used in the annual report any more. We now use actual numbers rather than percentages and no longer bench mark against other housing associations.
You wanted more ways to comment on our publications. We now have an online editorial panel of residents who comment regularly of a wide range of publications who have made tangible changes to documents.
