#CHPapprentice | Apprentices Blogs

  1. Contrast:

Another week has gone by which means it’s time to write the next blog, it’s crazy how quick our weeks are going here at CHP which can only be a good thing - we are both extremely busy and loving every minute of it. Last week we were very busy and one thing we spent some time on is researching resident surveys created by other housing associations. This was very interesting and once we had collected the research we compared and discussed our findings. Then we started to analyse the results for trends in the questions and what we could potentially use here at CHP. We now will present our findings to the CEO as this was a task that he set and therefore will want to see our progress.

We were given another research task this week: different developments that CHP are building. We had to find all the important dates such as start, finish and milestones. The reason we are doing this is because we will be promoting these developments by writing posts about them on social media, or organising events depending on the promotional opportunities for each development.

This week we also went to the first contact meeting; this is a project that explores all areas of the company that come into contact with residents. We looked at customer journey mapping to see what was involved in the application process and see what was good and not so good about it.  This involved a lot of post-it notes, which with their green coloured wall made it look very colourful. I think it’s safe to say we were their guinea pigs for the afternoon, as the team had never done this before.

We have also become a lot more involved in social media. We are thinking of different posts by looking at the social media trends like ‘Throwback Thursday’. We’re also looking at calendars to see what different days we can tweet about; such as international cake day, which suited CHP very well!

Last week had one very big bonus, that was PAY DAY! We both enjoyed this day and as it was our first pay day here at CHP so it was even better. And after a weekend of spending and enjoying ourselves it’s time to start the countdown to the next one - ETA just over three weeks.

Finally, for this edition of the #CHPapprentice blog we will let you know what’s next for us. Over the next week we are at college for a couple of days which is where we learn the theory for our apprenticeship. Then we are back in the office for a few more action packed days where time will fly by as it normally does.

Look out for the next edition of #CHPapprentice blog…
