Diversity, equity and inclusion
We’re committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion within our organisation and the communities we serve. This includes our hiring process where there are no barriers to recruitment.
Anyone who meets the requirements of the job is eligible for employment within our organisation, regardless of:
- employment status;
- marital status;
- sexual preference;
- membership or non-membership of a trade union;
- social class;
- or other non-job relevant personal characteristics.
Fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace
We believe every voice is unique and that every employee should be given the chance to thrive. We have a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Working Group that represents all areas of the organisation and all employees. The Group’s responsibilities include championing the awareness and knowledge of diversity and inclusion issues and best practice amongst colleagues and customers in the delivery of services. They also support the workplace to be free from discrimination, and to be one where our diverse workforce can develop their talents. They’re there to challenge the organisation where and when that doesn't happen.
We’re accredited as a Disability Confident Employer. This means we’re recognised as going the extra mile to make sure people with a disability get a fair chance. Reasonable adjustments will be made at each stage of the recruitment and selection process as needed to reduce any potential barriers faced by applicants and to give them equal access to employment opportunities.
Voluntary living wage
We’re a voluntary living wage employer which means we pay all employees at least the living wage.
Gender pay gap
We’re committed to closing the gender pay gap. We believe our people should be paid fairly for the job they do and be given opportunities for career progression. You can find out more in the gender pay gap report [pdf] we produce each year.
