Diversity, equity and inclusion
We’re committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in our organisation and the communities we serve.
We welcome and celebrate the diverse contribution of our employees. We believe every voice is unique and that every employee should be given the chance to thrive. We want to promote inclusion and belonging and to build a culture where all employees feel valued and are trusted to deliver their role.
We have a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Working Group that represents all areas of the organisation and all employees. The Group’s responsibilities include championing the awareness and knowledge of diversity and inclusion issues and best practice amongst colleagues and customers in the delivery of services.
The Group supports the workplace to be free from discrimination, and to be one where our diverse workforce can develop their talents. It’s there to challenge the organisation where and when that doesn't happen.
We’re committed to making sure there are no barriers to recruitment. Anyone who meets the requirements of the job is eligible for employment within our organisation. Regardless of age, disability, employment status, gender, health, marital status, sexual preference, membership or non-membership of a trade union, nationality, race, religion, social class or other non-job relevant personal characteristics.
We’re accredited as a Disability Confident Employer demonstrating our commitment to providing equal opportunities for people with disabilities. Disability Confident Employers are recognised as going the extra mile to make sure disabled people get a fair chance.
Voluntary living wage
We’re a voluntary living wage employer which means we pay all employees at least the living wage.
Gender pay report
We’re committed to closing the gender pay gap. We believe our people should be paid fairly for the job they do and be given opportunities for career progression. You can find out more in the Gender Pay Gap Report 2021[pdf] we produce each year.
