We encourage you to buy the freehold of your home when all the properties in the building are leasehold. This is called 'enfranchise'.
The right to buy the freehold from us exists if:
- At least two thirds of the homes in the building are on long leases;
- At least half of the leaseholders want to join in the purchase of the freehold.
The cost of purchasing the freehold varies. There will also be legal costs to pay for.
