Governance and performance

The regulatory framework for housing associations requires us to meet certain standards in relation to the following:

  • Governance and viability;
  • Value for money;
  • Rent;
  • Tenant involvement and empowerment;
  • The home;
  • Tenancy;
  • Neighbourhood and community.

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) also requires that we agree local standards in partnership with our customers.

We are currently rated by our regulator as V2 for financial viability and G1 for governance (these are the only standards the regulator provides an assesment of).

We have adopted the National Housing Federation (NHF) Code of Governance 2020 [pdf]. Our Audit Committee have considered and confirmed to our Board that we comply with the code.

We are rated A- by Standard & Poor's.
