STAFF at Essex based housing association CHP recently wore pink to raise £2,230.76 for Breast Cancer Research.

To celebrate Wear It Pink day, staff donned pink shirts, dresses and feather boa’s while CHP Admin and Facilities Manager, Diane Petts, dyed her hair pink for the whole of October and raised over £800.

A further £1,430.76 was collected from the raffle after 20 businesses – such as Additions Hair Salon, Alobee, Anglia Courier Express, Argos, B&Q, Balloons & Party Direct, Boots, Building Link, Brockley Road Bodyworks, Cakelatier, Gravitas, Gepp & Sons Solicitors, House of Flowers, The Lion Inn, LDR Stationary, Magnet Trade, Paul Mason Associates, Prested Hall, The Printing Place, Waterfront Place and Wickes - generously donated prizes such as a 32” plasma TV, a dish washer, microwave, case of champagne and designer handbags.

Diane Petts said: “We are delighted to have collected over £2,000 for what is a very worthwhile cause and I’d like to say thank you to Additions Hair Salon for dying my hair pink – it certainly helped to raise funds.

“We had a great day and we’re extremely grateful to all of the companies who donated prizes to the raffle – they were very generous to say the least.”
