STAFF and residents at CHP have raised nearly £500 for Farleigh Hospice after holding a Christmas coffee morning.
Helping to raise funds, the residents of CHP sheltered scheme, Coates Lodge, were joined by family and friends as they held a Christmas coffee morning - raising over £310 for Farleigh Hospice which specialises in providing care for those with life limiting illnesses.
A further £150 was collected by CHP staff at the company’s ‘festive finance drop-in’ - an annual event which donates all of its funds to charity – with employees enjoying an assortment of sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiches and cakes with a variety of fillings from boiled fruit to chocolate fudge.
Angela Crabb, CHP Asset Accountant, said: “It is great that we have raised so much money for what can only be described as a very worthwhile cause. The event was great fun and we hope to raise even more money next year.”
