Customers invited to join new Review Panel
We are inviting customers to join our new review panel, which will give them the opportunity to scrutinise our performance, improve key services and gain valuable volunteering experience.
Our Customer Review Panel will provide a collective voice for our customers and service users. Members will take a key role in checking our performance, ensuring we are delivering value for money and scrutinising customer feedback. The Panel will make direct recommendations to our Board and Leadership Team on how key services can be improved.
Volunteers joining the Panel will also be able to receive training and develop new skills, which may help bolster their CVs and open up new career opportunities. Volunteers will be asked to attend meetings at least four times a year, which will be held in a variety of settings including online video conferencing. Members will receive full training to help them scrutinise services and contribute to the decision-making process. Whilst the role is unpaid, reasonable expenses will be provided.
Members of the Customer Review Panel will be able to choose which areas they like to focus on. This could range from scrutinising our procedures for carrying out repairs and ensuring homes are kept safe, to how we engage with customers and deal with complaints.
Customers do not need to have any previous experience to join the Panel, just enthusiasm and a desire to work with us to help improve services. We understand that communities have different needs, and we need to be adaptable to meet these. Therefore, we are keen to understand the needs of all customers so everyone feels included and able to have their say.
Simon Hague, Neighbourhoods Director said: “Our new Customer Review Panel will allow customers to get closer to our services than ever before. This is a unique opportunity to really scrutinise our services and help to make improvements for our customer and local communities.
“Being a member of the Panel will also give you the opportunity to gain valuable volunteering experience and the chance to meet other CHP customers. I urge anyone with an interest in shaping our services to register their interest now.”
