Over 130 people recently attended the CHP and Chelmer Residents Forum (CRF) annual general meetings and first ever combined conference at Hylands House, in Chelmsford.
The event provided residents with the opportunity to tell CHP what they thought the company should concentrate on over the next five years and gave them the chance learn more about resident-led scrutiny and see what the CRF does.
The event also gave residents the opportunity to ‘grill’ CHP’s Chairman, Chief Executive and Directors in a ‘Question Time’ style session at the end of the day.
Members of the company also got the opportunity to view CHP’s financial accounts for the previous year and vote in the company’s new board directors at the CHP AGM.
Lynne Foster, CHP Support and Transformation Director, said: “Throughout the day we heard some fantastic comments about our members of staff from residents – namely that they were always helpful and polite. The residents also told us that we are an excellent landlord. The day was a great success and enjoyed by all. We’re looking forward to working with the CRF again to make next year’s event even bigger and better.”
Fiona Stirling, CRF Chair, said: “This was a first CHP and CRF joint conference which shows what a great partnership there is between the staff and residents. I hope it is the first of many. It was a great day with lots of new faces - it was a pleasure to co-host.”
