One of our employees, Melody Hastings, has won Housing Proactive’s ‘Housing Officer of the Month’ award.
Melody’s role as an Older Persons Visiting Support Coordinator sees her enabling the wellbeing and helping to prevent social isolation for older persons living in one of our sheltered housing schemes. It provides a flexible, short-term visiting support service, helping residents to live independently.
Melody said “I was totally surprised, but really happy to discover I had won ‘Housing Officer of the Month’ from Housing Proactive. It’s always good to know you are building good relationships, which is so important and in turn makes our jobs more enjoyable.”
Terri Cochrane, Assistant Director of Housing Management said “Working with vulnerable people is a challenge. I am therefore delighted that Melody has been recognized for her commitment to our residents by developing relationships with our contractors that have a positive impact on those she is working with to support.”
Housing Proactive is part of established technology company Alertcall, which was founded in 2004, and helps housing providers improve the quality and frequency of contact for thousands of people around the UK. It is an important tool to assist with our housing management service.
As a suggestion from the Housing Proactive Contact Centre, the Housing Officer of the Month award was set up a few years ago, aiming to recognise the brilliant support given to the team. At the end of each month, Housing Proactive identifies the individual who has done the most to deliver an outstanding service.
Ben Lambert, Client Relationship Manager at Alertcall: “From speaking to the team, Melody was selected because of her great customer service, she’s always super friendly and helpful on the phone, particularly with keeping us updated on resident statuses – which might sound like a small thing, but is incredibly useful for us. The team think she’s brilliant and love working with her. Thank you for all your hard work and cooperation.”
