New directors start roles at CHP

We are delighted to announce two new appointments to our senior leadership team.

Naomi Cohen has been appointed to the newly created role of Communications, Policy and Engagement Director. Naomi previously held the role of Interim Head of Communications since 2019, leading the expansion and development of our communications function. Prior to joining CHP, Naomi’s career spanned a range of senior roles in the voluntary, public and private sectors. Most recently, she spent 11 years in financial services, working in communications, marketing and product development. This includes helping to create and establish the Nest pension scheme in preparation for and as part of the introduction of auto enrolment.

Commenting on her new role, Naomi said: “I’m really looking forward to leading a new directorate that represents the voice of our customers and will make sure all stakeholders’ views help inform and shape our services. I’m also excited to continue to bring my experience of other sectors into social housing and to learn from the best practice of others in this sector.”

Thomas Kearney joins us in the newly created role of Homes and Places Director. Thomas has 11 years’ experience of working for housing associations and has previously held senior management roles at Notting Hill Genesis and Peabody.  In his previous roles Thomas has been involved in the planning and delivery of planned maintenance, day-to-day repairs, heat networks, complex building resolution and cladding remediation projects. At CHP he will be leading on our commitment to ensuring all its homes are well-maintained, safe, and sustainable.

Thomas said: “One of my key focuses will be on how we will deliver on our plans to improve the thermal and environmental performance of our customers’ homes over the next 30 years. I’m really looking forward to being part of some real positive changes for both our customers and our communities.”
