We launch new affordable homes in Chelmsford

MP launches development in Chelmsford We were recently joined by Vicky Ford, MP for Chelmsford to launch a new development of affordable homes.

We purchased an old garage site formerly owned by Chelmsford City Council and obtained planning permission to build eight homes for affordable rent.

By working in partnership with building developers DCH Construction, architects Barefoot and Gilles and employers agent Oxbury, we will be able to offer six two-bedroom and two three-bedroom houses for families in the local community.

Carl Hockey, our Director of Development and Sales said: “We’re really pleased to be able to provide high quality, affordable housing for people in Chelmsford. We have a great working relationship with Chelmsford City Council, and we’re happy to have been able to work in partnership with them on this project to create a fantastic new development.”

Vicky Ford, MP for Chelmsford added: “Many people in Chelmsford tell me that they want to see high quality affordable housing for local people. I’m really pleased to have been able to see this excellent new development in its finishing stages. This is all about building real communities and homes for people, and I’m delighted that CHP have decided to build these lovely new homes in Chelmsford.”

Ken Hannell from DCH Construction said: “We are really pleased with the outcome of the development. The building work is of a very high standard and we’ve enjoyed working in partnership with CHP to offer affordable housing to people in Chelmsford.”
