Our commitment to combatting racism

Mary Gibbons, Chief Executive Our Chief Executive, Mary Gibbons, used her all staff update last week to share her support for Black Lives Matter and CHP’s unreserved commitment to combatting racism. She told the team that she is looking into what more CHP can do to ensure diversity and inclusion, including reviewing how we name our streets and schemes. Mary would like your help too:

“I am shocked and disturbed by the tragic death of George Floyd as well as the impact of COVID-19 on BAME communities. Recent events have shown how much this is everyone’s issue so I have taken time to think about CHP’s role both as an employer and as a provider of housing. I know there’s more we should do.

I have asked our people to put forward their thoughts and ideas on how we can improve and want to hear from you too so we can work on this together. If you would like to be involved or would just like to make a comment or suggestion, please email us at consultation@chp.org.uk. Thank you."
