We’re delighted to announce we have been shortlisted for three categories in the 24housing awards.
A recognised industry publication, the 24housing awards recognise the best in the housing industry, awarding outstanding organisations who demonstrate their ability to provide excellent services and vital resources to their customers.
Between 31 March 2017 and 1 April 2018, our Service Centre answered 83,318 calls, achieving a satisfaction rate of 98% from customers. Nominated for ‘Customer Service Provider of the Year’, the team have been recognised for their dedication, working tirelessly to answer diverse queries on a range of housing topics.
We’re thrilled our apprenticeship scheme has been nominated for an award. Focusing on success stories from our past apprenticeships, many whom have gone onto to successful careers within our organisation, the submission also focused on our training of newer apprenticeships in both trade and housing roles. We currently have apprentices working in housing roles, and another four in our trade apprenticeship programme, which continue to train highly skilled staff in trade disciplines such as electrical, plumbing and carpentry roles.
Our Direct Labour Organisation trade team have been nominated for ‘Repairs and Maintenance Provider of the Year’, awarding the team for their dedication to providing excellent services to over 9,000 properties across Essex. Over 95% of our residents agreed the team provide fantastic results, and the team work hard to maximise efficiently, changing the way they work to produce the best results.
Keith Andrew, our Chair of the Board of Trustees said: “I’m pleased we’ve been shortlisted for three awards in the 24housing awards. Both our trade teams and Service Centre consistently provide an excellent service for our residents, and I’m delighted their hard work and commitment has been recognised.
“It’s fantastic our apprenticeship scheme has been nominated for ‘Best Apprenticeship Scheme’. As an organisation we’re committed to training the next generation of housing professionals, and I’m thrilled the scheme has been recognised.”
The award ceremony will be held on 18 October at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
