We’re proud to announce that we have been awarded accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace.
Alcumus Safe Contractor is a leading accreditation scheme which recognises extremely high standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. It is used by thousands of organisations in the UK including FTSE 100 companies and has over 20,000 contractor members.
Trade operatives from our repairs, voids and planned work teams provide thousands of repairs to our customers across Essex. The accreditation emphasises our commitment to excellent health and safety for the services we provide.
Gavin Page, Assistant Director of Commercial Services said: “I’m delighted to receive this recognition for our ongoing commitment to excellent health and safety practices in everything that we do. We are very aware of the importance this status holds for construction professionals and hope that it will emphasise our organisation’s dedication to excellent standards of safety.
“As a housing association with our own in-house trade operatives, it’s important we provide a consistent, uniform standard when it comes to safe working practices.”
Christopher Moon, Health and Safety Advisor said: ““In order to become accredited, we had to undergo a rigorous audit to ensure our health and safety paperwork was up to date and met legal industry requirements. Once submitted, an independent auditor decided whether our risk management processes were satisfactory and sufficient for our work activities.
“This accreditation marks an important milestone for us. It enables us to demonstrate to our customers that when we say we’re committed to safety, we mean it, and reinforces our commitment to protecting the wellbeing of our employees and customers.”
