Work experience

We offer work placements to help people gain the skills and confidence to pursue a new career. Available for anyone referred through the Job Centre, applicants must receive Jobseekers Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit to be eligible.

Our work placements are tailored to you, and designed to help you improve your knowledge and experience in your chosen industry. We offer a range of diverse roles in both customer facing and office-based roles.

Parkside, our Community Hub based in Melbourne, Chelmsford can offer you support and guidance in your job search. Speak to the team, or your Job Coach at your local Job centre to see if you are eligible.

Alternatively, if you are in school or college and want to gain experience within the housing sector, we might be able to provide a placement opportunity for you. Please email our HR team at jobs@chp.org.uk with a short covering letter explaining the skills and experience you are looking to gain.
