What you can expect when applying for a job

Role advertised

As soon as a role is live it’ll be published on the Current opportunities page of our website, as well as on other job boards including Reed, Jobsite and LinkedIn. If you’re interested in a role, please click on the link to apply.

Applications received

Once you’ve applied, you’ll get an acknowledgement email by the end of the next working day. This will include a link inviting you to complete our short equality and diversity questionnaire. We ask you to do this because we’re committed to promoting an equal and diverse workforce.

Unsuitable candidates informed

We’ll review your application. If we don’t feel it’s in line with the essential requirements of the job role, we’ll let you know by email that it’s not been selected for further consideration.

Suitable applications contacted for phone screen

If your application is in line with the essential requirements of the job role, we’ll contact you to arrange a short phone call. This is so that we can discuss the role and your skills and experience in more detail. We’ll assess your suitability for the role, outline the process, including feedback and interview dates, and answer any questions you may have.

Feedback

Once we’ve received feedback on your application from the hiring managers, we’ll contact you to let you know whether you’ve been selected for a face-to-face interview. This will be by the date given during the phone screen call. If you’ve been successful, your interview will be arranged, and you’ll be sent all the invitation details by email.

Interview with hiring managers

The interview and interview questions will be designed around the role you’ve applied for. You’ll be asked criteria-based questions which will help us to assess your skills, behaviours and personal competencies.

If required, we’ll ask you to complete a work-related test. This will be based on elements of the role that you’ve applied for.

Both interview and test performance will contribute to your overall result. For some roles you may have to complete self-assessments, a verbal and numerical test and psychometric tests.

Offer stage

If you’re the successful candidate, then we’ll make a job offer to you. All job offers are conditional on the completion of pre-employment checks. The offer will specify the salary, benefits and location for the job.

Equal opportunities

As a Disability Confident Employer, we’re committed to providing equal opportunities for anyone who wants to work with us, and we champion diversity, equity and inclusion. Any applicants with a disability who meet the essential requirements of the job are guaranteed an interview.

We make every effort to eliminate discrimination, direct and indirect, from our recruitment and selection process. Reasonable adjustments will be made to reduce any potential barriers faced by applicants to give equal access to employment opportunities.
