Rent a garage

We have garages available for rent in and around Chelmsford. You must be over the age of eighteen to apply and will be given priority if you live in one of our homes.

How to apply

The easiest way to make an application is to sign in to your online account and follow the instructions on the ‘Parking and garages’ page. If you don’t have an account yet, you can sign up now. All you need is your customer reference number.

How to pay rent

There are several ways you can pay your rent if you’re living in a CHP home. If you’re not living in a CHP home, rent for your garage must be paid by monthly Direct Debit or annually in advance.

Direct Debit

With a Direct Debit, payments come straight from your bank or building society. Once your regular payment is set up, you’ll only hear from us when the amount owed changes.

The easiest way to set up a Direct Debit if you’re one of our customers is to sign in to your online account and follow the ‘Ways to pay’ instructions. Here you can either request to set up a Direct Debit by filling out the form online and we’ll then give you a call to complete the process. Or you can complete and return the Direct Debit mandate which you will also find on the same page.

Pay online

If you’re a CHP customer, you can make payments using your secure online account. Simply sign in and follow the ‘Make a payment’ instructions.

Standing order

To set up a standing order, you need to contact your bank or building society and give them our bank details. You can find these by signing in to your online account and following the ‘Ways to pay’ instructions.

Debit or credit card

We can take debit or credit card payments over the phone. Or we can set up a regular payment direct from your debit card. Call us on 0300 555 0500 to make a single payment or set up a recurring payment. (Text relay: 18001 0300 555 0500).
