Who we work with

We work with a variety of local authorities and housing providers, community organisations and suppliers to provide homes and deliver services to our customers.

Other housing providers

We’re one of 14 organisations chosen nationwide to manage properties built by financial services provider Legal & General under their affordable homes initiative - Legal & General Affordable Homes (LGAH).

Our partnership represents a shared vision that a well-built and well-maintained affordable home is the cornerstone of a good quality of life.

All 449 homes we currently manage on behalf of LGAH have been for shared ownership or affordable rent and have contributed to our goal of helping to meet local housing need.

We have a close partnership with Chelmsford City Council and in recent years have taken on responsibility for repairs to the homes in its Homes 2 Lease scheme.

We also manage a number of homes on behalf of Chelmsford City Council. As part of its programme to increase temporary housing for homeless families, we’re taking on management of more properties to help provide families with a roof over their heads. We currently manage 154 homes for Chelmsford City Council.

You can find out more about our work with LGAH and Chelmsford City Council on our Managing homes for others page.

Community organisations

We work with a variety of trusted organisations to help provide valuable welfare support to our customers and local communities when it’s needed. For example, sometimes we make a foodbank referral if a customer is struggling to buy enough food, or we report a safeguarding concern so that extra support can be provided to the person in need. Here are some of the organisations we work with day to day.

  • Local authorities e.g. Chelmsford City Council (CCC) and Maldon District Council (MDC).
  • Essex County Council (ECC).
  • Essex Police.
  • Essex Compass.
  • National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV).
  • Essex Welfare Service.
  • Peabody Floating Support.
  • The Trussell Trust foodbank.
  • Adult Community Learning (ACL).
  • Workers’ Educational Association (WEA).

Suppliers

We rely on close working relationships with a number of suppliers. This includes our partners who provide cleaning services, grounds maintenance and gas servicing in our properties. We also work with a number of suppliers to help us run efficiently as an organisation, from our auditors to our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) provider.
