Delta invites residents to Andrews Place community drop-in
Delta Housing (formerly CHP) is inviting residents, neighbours and community members to attend a community drop-in event to hear the latest updates on plans for the redevelopment of Andrews Place and Rainsford Lane in Chelmsford. The event follows the submission of a planning application to Chelmsford City Council for a proposed redevelopment that would deliver additional affordable homes for local people and create a new multi-generational community.
The drop-in session will take place on Friday, 23 October, between 11am and 2pm at Primrose Court, Wheatfield Way, Chelmsford, CM1 2UZ.
Over the past two years, Delta has worked closely with customers, residents and stakeholders to develop proposals for the site, gathering feedback through a series of consultation events and engagement activities. Community feedback has been essential in shaping the evolving plans, including updates to parking, green spaces, and the overall look and feel of the new development.
The drop-in will provide an opportunity for local people to speak directly with members of the project team, ask questions about the proposals and learn more about the planning process. Visitors will also be able to hear how feedback received during consultation has influenced the plans submitted for consideration.
We don’t yet have a committee date for a planning decision, but as soon as we do, we’ll provide an update here and you may also receive correspondence from Chelmsford City Council.
The redevelopment of Andrews Place and Rainsford Lane is intended to provide high-quality affordable homes that meet the needs of both current and future residents, while supporting the long-term regeneration of the area.
There is no need to book to attend the drop-in session and we look forward to seeing you there.
