Chelmsford Garden Community Council: Events and services

alt=””

The Chelmsford Garden Community is part of Chelmsford City Council’s Local Plan to develop and improve the area. The site builds on the success of the recent Beaulieu and Channels developments and is set to create a community of around 10,000 new homes. It'll also deliver schools, community spaces, offices, and more.

The Chelmsford Garden Community Council is a new Parish Council committed to working on initiatives to benefit the community in this area.

Events

Initiatives are aimed at local residents’ health and wellbeing, youth engagement, climate change and biodiversity issues, and community safety. They include:

  • quarterly litter picks;
  • Community Garden and veg patch;
  • free women’s self-defence classes;
  • one-off events like Disney Scarecrow Week, Harvest Event, or Astronomy Event;
  • councillor drop-ins to ask questions or raise concerns;
  • Christmas pantomime.

There’s also a wide range of clubs and activities that local residents can get involved in, from Zumba to Sea Cadets. See what’s available here.

Check out the online noticeboard for more on what’s going on in the area.
