Important: RAAC update

alt=

We want to make our customers aware that we are taking the recent news about Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) very seriously.

The safety of our customers is our top priority. RAAC is a type of aerated concrete that was used in some public buildings in the UK between the 1950s and 1980s. RAAC is mainly found in flat roofs, although occasionally it was used in floors and walls.

It is not believed that RAAC was used widely in the construction of social housing between the 1950s and 1980s. However, we are carrying out a review of the information we hold to see if there are any homes where we need to undertake an inspection.

We expect this review to be completed within the next two weeks and we will contact you by the end of September to arrange an inspection if needed. If the presence of RAAC is confirmed in any homes, a structural assessment will then be carried out and you will be provided with any findings and next steps.

If we have not contacted you directly, it is because you do not live in a home that was built during the impacted period.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us by telephoning 0300 555 0500 or via https://www.chp.org.uk/contact-us.
