Update your Universal Credit Journal

Do you claim Universal Credit? If so don't forget to update your journal with your new rent amount.

Rent changes came into effect from 6 April 2021 if you pay weekly, or 1 April 2021 if you pay monthly.

You must make these changes to your Universal Credit online account as soon as possible after these dates and before the end of your monthly assessment period. Otherwise you might end up with a shortfall.

This may show as a To Do in your journal. If you need additional support updating your journal, please call us on 0300 555 0500 and ask to speak to our dedicated Welfare Benefits Team.
