What type of information will be on the pages?
We update our pages on a regular basis with news, local events, activities, important announcements and other items of interest (such as jobs, homes for sale, training courses and workshops).
Who maintains it?
Our Communications Team are responsible for maintaining and monitoring our pages, working with other teams to answer any questions.
How is the information monitored?
Our pages are monitored on a regular basis and anything breaching these guidelines will be removed.
- Please use social media responsibly and consider other users. Don’t post any personal details and ensure your privacy settings don’t allow others to access your personal information.
- If you’re sharing news with others, ask yourself “is it timely, relevant and interesting?” (For example, is it recent news? Is it of interest to other residents?).
- It’s perfectly acceptable to share a link to a news story but please avoid copying and pasting material which you don’t have copyright for as this is illegal.
- Our pages are not to be used to advertise goods or services.
- We reserve the right to block posts that are considered inappropriate or offensive. This includes posts that are abusive, insulting, harmful, slanderous, profane, racially or culturally sensitive, of a sexual nature or that contain bad language.
People breaching any of these guidelines will be blocked from using our social media and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
While we aim to respond to comments or queries within one working day, we’d like to emphasise our social media pages are not a substitute or ‘shortcut’ for dealing with enquiries or complaints.
For urgent or serious enquiries or complaints please contact us on 0300 555 0500. Alternatively, visit our Compliments and complaints page. We’ll not seek to resolve complaints via social media and will ask that you contact us directly to discuss your concerns.
If we’re unable to reply to you directly on social media, we’ll contact via an alternative method once your details have been confirmed by you to us. Please be aware we’re unable to message you via this page unless you have done so first to us.
